Made it

I've arrived in one piece and am now the proud driver of a massive American truck! It's something called a Dodge Durango and looks as if it could give a German Panzer a run for its money. I've christened it the 'Mothership' since it will be home for the next two and a bit weeks whilst I'm on the road.

So far my first impressions of California are...well limited to be honest. The fog is so thick by the coast that visibility is approximately only 20metres! I made it to Santa Cruz late last night. No idea what I'm going to do here yet but I plan to take a turn along the boardwalk at some point and try to find some sea lions. I'm hoping the sun will burn off some of the fog too.
